Heavy T Driver

Safe operation and maintenance of company trucks, including inspecting vehicles, securing and transporting loads, and ensuring compliance with driving regulations and company policies. Loading and unloading goods, completing delivery documentation and supporting stock-taking activities.

• Inspects truck before and after trips and submits report indicating truck condition.
• Fastens chain or binders to secure load on trailer during transit.
• Loads or unloads or assists in loading and unloading truck.
• Obtains customer's signature or collects payment for services.
• Pick goods from warehouse and inspects goods to be moved.
• Wraps goods using pads, packing paper, and containers, and secures load to trailer wall using straps.
• Gives directions to loader in packing and moving goods to truck
• Maneuvers truck into loading or unloading position, following signals from loading crew as needed.
• Assist in Loading trucks where necessary.
• Other Related duties as assigned.
• Assist in monthly/annual stock taking as required.
• Promote safety awareness and the development of a Safety Culture within the company.
• Liaise with external customers/contractors/suppliers as and when necessary.
• Compliance with all EIG Policies and Safety Regulations.
