Heavy Duty Mechanic

We’re hiring a Heavy Duty Mechanic to troubleshoot and repair diesel generators. Must have 3+ years’ experience, strong diagnostic skills, and certification. Join our growing team at F&E Energy and help keep Jamaica powered.

About Us:
F&E Energy is a leading provider of backup and alternative energy solutions across Jamaica. We are expanding our service team and seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic with strong experience in troubleshooting and repairing diesel generators.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair diesel generators of various brands and sizes

• Perform scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs

• Identify and replace faulty components, including electrical and mechanical parts

• Maintain accurate service records and reports

• Liaise with clients and provide excellent customer service

• Ensure all work complies with safety and environmental regulations

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in generator servicing and repair

• Strong diagnostic skills with mechanical and electrical systems

• Certification in Diesel Mechanics or Heavy Equipment Maintenance from HEART/NSTA Trust or equivalent Jamaican institution

• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and wiring diagrams

• Own tools are an asset

• Valid Jamaican driver’s license 

• Able to drive standard transmission vehicle
