Job description- Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic

Intro- We have a fleet of Mitsubishi & Isuzu skip trucks mostly single axle and a few tandem axle compactor trucks. Looking for someone to work along with our senior mechanic until he retires in the near future. We have a very committed work team and everyone gets along well together. Our company is one of the leading waste disposal companies in Barbados and we have been in the industry for over 30 years.

Job Description-

• Inspects and repair Diesel engines
• Handles routine repairs including oil and tire changes
• Experience in hydraulics and pump repair
• Familiar with reading part books and identifying for order
• Fill out repair report and job sheet
• Preferred Heavy Duty license holder for possible testing
• Works safely with tools and conforms to safety standards
• Willing to work overtime if needed
• People friendly and a good team player.

Work hours and benefits-

• 40 hr. work week Mon- Fri
• 4.5 hrs. on Sat
• All uniform, safety boots and tools supplied
• Yearly medical checkup

Education & Experience-

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 5 years as a diesel mechanic is required
