The Head of Operations is responsible for providing strategic leadership of the operations function by developing and executing strategies and objectives to optimize production, business growth, and profitability.

  • Manage scheduling, planning, resourcing and execution of Maintenance, Engineering, and Operations activities to ensure safe, reliable and efficient operations to support business goals and objectives.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor standardization of operational systems, processes, and policies.
  • Develop, monitor and manage strategic KPI’s to assist with management of Maintenance, Engineering and Operations functions.
  • Leading Root Cause Analysis as required to support Continuous Improvement.
  • Develop and execute business strategies and goals for the organization’s Operations activities aimed at accelerating growth and maximizing revenue. 
  • Responsible for Risk Management of the Operational aspects.
  • Prepare, manage and adhere to Annual Business Plans and Budgets.
  • Ensure governance compliance including timely performance reporting, and adherence to Anti-Bribery and Corruption policy and Delegation of Authority for business.
  • Lead the processes to ensure compliance with all applicable maintenance, construction, operational, occupational and process safety standards.
  • Manage High Consequence Risk Matrices to regularly identify and ensure appropriate mitigating actions/ barriers/ controls are in place.
  • Establish and manage suitable team/organization as required for successful planning and execution of projects within safety, time, cost and quality metrics.
  • Develop and continually monitor production schedules, sales, activity and other reports to measure productivity and goal attainment to determine areas for improvement.
  • Lead the implementation and sustainability of a maintenance strategy to include preventive, predictive, reliability-centered, condition-based maintenance and asset management systems.
  • Ensure quality testing and inspection of products, services or processes to evaluate quality or performance and to minimize product loss.
  • Lead the planning and execution of major capital /special projects through the timely submission of project proposals, approval and implementation within the agreed parameters of cost, time and quality.
  • Prepare analytical reports and presentations on the performance of the department.
  • Monitor the company’s agreements with operational suppliers to provide maximum value and optimum performance under such agreements.
  • Ensure adequate contractor performance management to achieve business objectives.
  • Ensure a safe workplace is created by managing the integrity of operating systems and processes; from design concept through to operational run.
  • Continuously assess advances in technology and implement as appropriate to improve safety, efficiency and productivity. Gradual improvement in Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)
  • Foster a positive, inspiring, safe and collaborative work environment and culture that empowers employees to actively work toward companywide goals and motivates employees.
  • Promote a culture of safety, engagement, accountability and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to HSSE and wellbeing
