We are seeking a visionary Head of Marketing to drive the brand’s strategy, elevate the customer experience, and expand market presence. You will shape the brand’s value proposition, lead marketing across advertising, promotions, digital and social media, brand management, and new product launches, and oversee the marketing budget while guiding a high-performing team. Using market trends, customer insights, and performance data, you will deliver campaigns, drive growth, and strengthen Island Grill’s position as an industry leader.

About the Role:

The Head of Marketing will drive Island Grill’s brand strategy, elevate the customer experience, and expand market presence. This role provides strategic leadership across advertising, promotions, digital and social media, brand management, and new product launches, while overseeing the marketing budget and leading a high-performing team. Leveraging market insights, customer data, and performance metrics, the Head of Marketing will deliver results-driven campaigns, collaborate across functions, and implement initiatives that grow revenue, strengthen brand loyalty, and reinforce Island Grill’s position as a market leader.

Key Functions

  • Lead and direct the marketing team, including the Marketing Officer and Marketing Analyst, providing guidance and final approval on all initiatives.
  • Set departmental goals, monitor performance, and report successes, setbacks, and insights to executives.
  • Assign responsibilities, approve workloads, schedules, deliverables, and deadlines, ensuring all team members perform their roles effectively.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the marketing team, fostering a high-performance culture and succession planning.
  • Prepare, manage and optimize marketing budget, manage agency and media partnerships, and ensure ROI-driven execution of initiatives.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies tailored to the Jamaican QSR market that differentiate the Island Grill brand, drive customer engagement, and accelerate sales growth across multiple locations
  • Drive consistent brand representation and messaging across all channels, promotions, in-store activations, and digital platforms, while leading innovative campaigns and menu launches.
  • Oversee promotions, pricing, customer experience, and product launches; direct the Marketing Officer in execution.
  • Manage social media, digital marketing, in-store marketing, PR, and events initiatives.
  • Guide innovative initiatives and new product development, with the Marketing Analyst providing research and insights.
  • Negotiate with media and promotion partners and manage all deadlines and deliverables.
  • Analyze menu and product performance, sales, revenue, profit, transactions, dayparts, and location-level data; prepare actionable reports for executives.
  • Develop and oversee loyalty programs and customer retention strategies, using customer insights and satisfaction metrics to drive engagement, retention, and long-term brand loyalty.
  • Collaborate with Operations to ensure campaigns are executable at store level and support restaurant-level marketing plans.
  • Monitor competitors, market trends, and consumer behaviour to maintain Island Grill’s competitive advantage.
  • Measure ROI of campaigns, promotions, and customer experience initiatives to drive market share growth

Qualifications & Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.
  • 7–10 years of progressive marketing experience, including 3–5 years in a senior leadership or managerial role, with strong knowledge of the QSR industry, customer behaviour, and brand management.
  • Proven expertise managing digital and social media marketing, PR, promotions, in-store marketing, loyalty programs, and integrated multi-channel campaigns.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing data-driven marketing strategies that drive sales, customer engagement, and brand growth.
  • Experience managing budgets, negotiating contracts, overseeing external partners, and utilizing marketing analytics, sales, revenue, and customer data to inform strategy.
