In this senior role, you will oversee trading, buying, pricing, ranging, and marketing to strengthen our market position and reinforce our reputation as the premier retail and food service business in the Turks and Caicos Islands.
Key Responsibilities
Shape and execute the commercial strategy across buying, trading, pricing, ranging, and merchandising.
Build and implement buying and commercial policies that improve margin, strengthen price perception, and elevate product assortment.
Drive commercial transformation, including central purchasing, category management, and merchandising excellence.
Champion our “Buy Better” strategy, ensuring we deliver exceptional value to customers.
Oversee the trade planner, working hand in hand with operations to bring promotional and seasonal plans to life.
Monitor and optimize pricing, margin, stock, availability, waste, and working capital.
Analyze sales, shrinkage, and profitability, taking proactive measures to improve performance.
Lead high-impact Marketing and Buying teams to deliver compelling promotions, seasonal events, and trading plans.
Ensure stores consistently offer a good, better, best assortment that meets customer needs.
Maintain strong communication between stores and support teams, fostering alignment and collaboration.
Keep a pulse on market trends, customer behaviors, and competitor activity locally and internationally.
Build and nurture strategic external business networks.
Champion a people-first, inclusive culture that helps colleagues thrive and sends customers home happy.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business management/administration or equivalent professional qualifications.
10+ years of senior retail leadership experience, including international multi-site operations.
Proven success leading buying teams with a strong foundation in category management.
Exceptional commercial, financial, and analytical acumen.
Outstanding communication, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
Strong negotiation, decision-making, and time management capabilities.
A track record of building high performing, engaged, and inclusive teams.
A genuine passion for developing people and teaching others to succeed.
