Alliance Financial Services Limited a member of the Sagicor Group is seeking a suitable candidate to join our Branch Operations team in the capacity of:

 

 

Head Teller (AFSL)

 

Responsible for the accurate and timely execution of remittance, bill payments and foreign currency trade transactions.

 

Act as a vault custodian, monitoring and balancing cash holdings, preparation of cash shipment and cheques for deposit to bank.

 

Provide supervisory support to the Branch Lead with overseeing the daily activities of the branch including branch opening and closure, scheduling of assignments and management of client experience.

 

Champion client experience by proactively engaging and interacting with clients.

 

 

Location: Kingston

 

As a Head Teller, you will:

  • Provide professional and attentive service to clients.
  • Assume ownership of client issues at first point of contact and ensure appropriate escalation to supervisor or relevant personnel/department.
  • Execute remittance, bill payments and foreign currency trade transactions.
  • Process petty cash payments.
  • Balance and image cheques for deposits and preparation of bank deposits.
  • Prepare counterfeit notes report for submission to Central Bank.
  • Prepare Unusual Transaction Reports.
  • Update and maintain customer records.
  • File worksheets and receipts.
  • Conduct KYC review and update client records.
  • Perform other job-related duties assigned from time to time.

 

What do you need?

 

  • First Degree in Banking & Finance, Business Administration or any other related field, from a recognized tertiary institution
  • At least one-year experience in operations, customer service, working in a financial institution.
  • Knowledge of teller functions/cash handling procedures & Proceeds of Crime Act and Anti-Money Laundering Regulations is a distinct advantage.
  • Sound knowledge of computer software packages including spreadsheet and word processing applications.
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of the operations of the Money Services Business.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the POCA/AML Regulations.
  • Good analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong reasoning & mathematical skills and knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Ability to effectively plan, prioritize and delegate tasks.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to details.
  • Knowledge of customer service principles.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Professionalism in dealing with all stakeholders.
  • Effective team player.
