Leads the Electrical Department, overseeing sales, procurement, inventory, and technical operations. Combines commercial and technical leadership to drive profitability, manage suppliers, optimize supply chain efficiency, and grow revenue in electrical products and services.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  1. Lead electrical product sales strategy across retail, wholesale, and project-based clients.
  2. Identify and develop new business opportunities in commercial, industrial, and government sectors.
  3. Maintain and grow key customer accounts and strategic partnerships.
  4. Set and monitor sales targets, pricing strategies, and profit margins.
  5. Provide technical sales support and product recommendations to clients.

Procurement & Supply Chain Management

  1. Oversee procurement of electrical materials, equipment, and components.
  2. Negotiate pricing, contracts with suppliers and manufacturers.
  3. Evaluate and approve vendors based on quality, cost, reliability, and compliance.
  4. Manage stock levels to ensure optimal inventory turnover and minimal stockouts or overstock.
  5. Monitor global and local market trends affecting electrical product availability and pricing.

Department Leadership

  1. Lead, mentor, and develop the electrical sales and procurement team.
  2. Set departmental KPIs and ensure performance alignment with company objectives.
  3. Conduct training on product knowledge, sales techniques, and procurement best practices.
  4. Foster a high-performance, accountable, and customer-focused culture.

Financial & Operational Management

  1. Prepare and manage departmental budgets and forecasts.
  2. Analyze sales performance, procurement costs, and gross margins.
  3. Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or service delivery.
  4. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and industry regulations.

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

  1. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, contractors, and key clients.
  2. Resolve escalated customer and supplier issues efficiently.
  3. Coordinate with logistics, warehouse, and project teams for smooth operations.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  2. 5–10+ years of experience in electrical sales, procurement, or distribution.
  3. Proven leadership experience in managing teams and departmental operations.
  4. Strong knowledge of electrical products (e.g., wiring, lighting, switchgear, industrial components, renewable systems preferred).
  5. Experience in supplier negotiation, contract management, and inventory control.
  6. Strong commercial acumen with a track record of achieving sales targets and margin growth.
