Job Summary:
LIAT (2020) Limited is in search of a team-oriented and customer-focused Head – ICT to be responsible for the overall management of the airline’s ICT infrastructure while ensuring alignment with the strategic objectives; spearheading development and deployment of new IT solutions, ensuring compliance with company policy and data management legislation.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership:
Develop and implement the airline’s ICT Strategy in alignment with business plans
Lead and develop the ICT team, supporting performance and compliance
Collaborate with leadership and HR to recruit, coach and manage staff
Promote a positive work culture and professional standards
Budget Management:
Develop, manage and control the ICT operational and capital budgets
Approve purchases and monitor project costs and reports
Strategic Focus:
Identify ICT trends and provide strategic solutions aligned with company objectives
Lead ICT change initiatives and provide evidence-based strategic advice
Operational Effectiveness & Business Continuity:
Document and maintain ICT policies and systems
Oversee and support all ICT-related projects and operations across departments
Ensure operational reliability through testing, monitoring, upgrades, and security
Maintain documentation and tracking of ICT assets and systems
Develop and maintain the Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP)
Customer Service/Management Reporting:
Monitor ICT service quality and oversee the helpdesk
Produce monthly and ad hoc ICT reports
Consult with stakeholders and vendors to assess and improve ICT needs
Stakeholder Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Provide senior leadership with timely updates and strategic ICT advice
Workplace Safety/Compliance:
Ensure IT team adheres to safety, compliance, and HR policies
Report hazards and promote a safe working environment
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:
BSc. in Management, Information Technology or related discipline
MSc. in IT, E-Commerce, or related field preferred
Minimum five (5) years of IT management experience
Knowledge of airline IT systems and processes
Expertise in IT best practices, regulations, and security
Strong communication, analytical and project management skills
Leadership, emotional intelligence, and conflict resolution skills
Customer service-oriented and detail-focused
