HVAC Technician

The HVAC Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, inspect, and test HVAC systems including air conditioners, heaters, refrigerators, and ventilation units.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in HVAC equipment and perform necessary repairs.
• Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of HVAC systems to improve efficiency and prolong equipment life.
• Monitor and adjust controls and thermostats to maintain desired temperatures.
• Maintain records of all work performed, materials used, and time spent on each task.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies regarding HVAC maintenance.
• Collaborate with other departments to minimize downtime and disruption during repairs.
• Ensure compliance with local HVAC codes, regulations, and environmental laws.
• Assist in maintaining inventory of parts and tools required for HVAC servicing.
• Provide emergency repairs and support during breakdowns or system failures.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; certification from a technical school or HVAC training program preferred.
• Valid HVAC certification/license (EPA 608 or equivalent) is required.
• Minimum [2-3] years of HVAC experience in a commercial or hospitality setting.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, electrical controls, and refrigeration cycles.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Physical ability to perform manual work, including lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces.
