Developing, implementing and managing safety, security and environmental programs to ensure compliance with regulations and create a safe working environment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Create the Company’s HSSE Manual for all operating territories and different operational outputs, and manage compliance of such Manual with 100% accuracy
  2. Create the Company’s Risk Assessment operating territories and different operational outputs, and manage compliance of such Manual with 100% accuracy
  3. Create job Safety Analyses (JSA/ JHA) for all tasks related to all operations and ensure compliance with 100% accuracy
  4. Conduct thorough assessments of workplace environments to identify potential hazards and risks and create
  5. Create and implement inhouse training for first aid, fire safety and all other basic training
  6. Oversee all company PPE issued and manage the process with 100% accuracy
  7. Handle all injury leave reports and OSHA incidents within designated timelines and with 100% accuracy
  8. Analyse incident reports and trends to develop strategies for accident prevention.
  9. Stay up-to-date with local, state, and federal regulations related to health, safety, and environmental standards.
  10. Ensure the organization's compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  11. Develop and deliver training programs on safety protocols, emergency procedures, and environmental awareness.
  12. Collaborate with department heads to tailor training sessions to specific job roles and hazards.
  13. Lead investigations into workplace incidents, accidents, and near misses.
  14. Prepare detailed reports outlining root causes and recommend corrective actions.
  15. Develop and maintain emergency response plans.
  16. Conduct drills and simulations to test the effectiveness of emergency procedures.
  17. Foster a culture of safety and environmental responsibility throughout the organization.
  18. Implement initiatives to encourage employee engagement in safety practices.
  19. Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training sessions, and incidents.
  20. Prepare regular reports for management on the status of HSE programs, reporting statistics and metrics monthly and with 100% accuracy
  21. Any other duty as required
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  1. Must have at least 5 years’ experience in HSSE leading teams and working with OSHA on injuries and form submissions
  2. STOW Certification experience would be an asset
  3. NEBOSH Certification an asset
  4. Bachelors in Health and Safety
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
  1. Must have a reliable working vehicle
  2. Must be able to work extended hours and be available on call, on a 24-hour basis
