Seasoned HR Manager with a strong recruitment background, leadership and talent development expertise, and exceptional negotiation and employee relations skills to resolve complex workplace issues, and champions strategic HR initiatives that align talent with business objectives.

ROLE 

This role will oversee and implement human resources management strategies, policies, practices and initiatives with focus on the areas of Recruitment, Employment, Performance Management, Compensation and Benefits, Talent Development and Employee Relations to achieve organizational objectives.

PRAACTICAL EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least 5 years generalist experience ansd possess a degree in HR Management. Certification (SHRMor CIPD) would be an asset  

RESPONSIBILITIES include:

  • Manage all Human Resource functions, strategies and initiatives  to align with the overall objectives of the business.
  • Coordinate strategic HR initiative with overall bsuiness  goals
  • Oversee the effective implementation of human resource policies, programs, and practices
  • Formulate, recommend, and implement HR practices that will enhance employee performance, morale and promote positive employer-employee relations
  • Manage the recruitment, selection, employment process 
  • Provide guidance and assistance to Managers and Supervisors on human resource issues.
  • Assess and implement employee engagemnt initiatives
  • Assess, develop and implement reward and recognition programmes 
  • Oversee and implement the twice yearly performance management process
  • Develop and monitor annual HR budget according to guidelines as established by the Management
  • Manage and maintain the compensation program of the Company. Conduct salary surveys, job analysis.  Recommend, plan  and implement compensation revisions .
  • Develop and coordinate annual training activities to address current capabilities and future training needs of staff.
  • Lead the Collective Bargaining process and be engaged in negotiations for renewal of Collective Agreemen. Ensure compliance to the CBA and appropriate application of the disciplinary code.
  • Ensure compliance  with all legal, financial and labor laws and regulations, conduct investigations, maintaining records and  representing the organizations at hearings
  • Leadi the HR Administation team and maintaining positive employee relations
The successful candidate will be 
  • Highly proficient in MS Office ( particulary Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Outlook)
  • Adaptable to a fast pace high volume retail environment
  • Possess a Caricom Skills Certificae and meet requirments for employemnt in Antigua and Barbuda
