HR Assistant (Part-time)

Job Role and Responsibilities: 

 

  • Answer incoming calls to directed to the HR representative 

  • Screen resumes and shortlist candidates for interviews

  • Schedule interviews for shortlisted candidates

  • Maintain & update  physical and electronic employee files

  • Handle all leave requests and update employee sick, maternity and vacation leave in company software  

  • Prepare memos and advisories 

  • Prepare job and recommendation letters requested by staff

  • Prepare employment letters and  job contracts  for new staff

  • Assist with orientation for new staff 

  • Any other tasks assigned by the manager that may not be outlined in this list


Qualifications Experience and Skills Required:

  • Associate Degree in Human Resource Management/Development 

  • Proven experience in human resources 

  • Excellent knowledge of Jamaica Labour Laws would be an asset 

  • Great interpersonal and communication skills 

  • Attention to detail

  • Good time management skills
