The HR & Administration Manager is responsible for leading human resources, payroll administration, corporate administration, compliance reporting, and operational support activities for Abaxx Technologies Corp. and related entities. The role ensures effective employee lifecycle management, regulatory compliance, payroll coordination, corporate administration, and economic substance support while serving as a trusted partner to management and employees.

This position establishes and maintains a robust Barbados-based HR and administration function while creating the operational records, payroll support, expenditure documentation, and administrative infrastructure necessary to support both business operations and economic substance requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Human Resources Management
- Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment coordination, onboarding, orientation, performance management administration, employee development, and offboarding.
- Maintain confidential employee files, HRIS records, and personnel documentation.
- Prepare employment agreements, employee communications, policies, and HR correspondence.
- Coordinate employee engagement, training, recognition, and development initiatives.
- Support workforce planning, talent acquisition, organizational development, and succession planning activities.
- Administer performance review processes and support leadership with performance management initiatives.
- Assist with employee relations matters, investigations, disciplinary actions, and grievance resolution.
Payroll & Benefits Administration
- Coordinate payroll processing activities and ensure timely and accurate submission of payroll information to third-party payroll providers.
- Administer employee benefits, leave programs, attendance tracking, and payroll-related documentation.
- Maintain payroll, benefits, and compensation records.
- Support payroll reconciliations and reporting requirements.
Compliance & Administration
- Monitor compliance with labor laws, employment standards, immigration requirements, and company policies.
- Develop, maintain, and administer employee handbooks, policies, and procedures.
- Coordinate work permits, visas, and immigration-related matters as required.
- Prepare and submit required government filings and statutory reports.
- Maintain records supporting economic substance requirements.
Corporate Administration & Financial Support
- Support accounting administration, expenditure tracking, tax support documentation, and operational reporting.
- Assist with Barbados tax filing support and preparation of supporting schedules and records.
- Coordinate corporate records, filings, and administrative requirements for related entities.
- Prepare management reports and HR metrics relating to workforce trends, turnover, hiring, training, and employee engagement.
Leadership Responsibilities
- Supervise, coach, and develop the Administration Coordinator.
- Establish departmental processes, controls, and administrative standards.
- Support management and executive leadership with strategic HR and operational initiatives.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- SHRM-CP, PHR, CHRP, CIPD, or similar certification preferred.
Experience
- 5-8 years of progressive experience in human resources, payroll administration, corporate administration, finance operations, or related functions.
- Prior supervisory experience preferred.
