We are seeking an experienced results driven human resource professional with a passion for service to join our management team at Calliaqua.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Assist the Country Manager with recruitment, contract and general workforce management:
  • Create and maintain human resources files in both HRM system and cabinet.
  • Liaise with NIS for registration of new people – ensuring card is received for Payroll.
  • Liaise with insurance companies for group health and life coverage; enroll staff; Review invoices and submit to the accounts department for processing.
  • Receive Timesheets, review and submit to Payroll along with any new additions or terminations.
  • Arrange Food Handler’s clinic ensuring that all team members possess current permits.
  • Assist team members with job letters and recommendations, as well as any queries or assistance needed.
  • Conduct reference checks on potential candidates.
  • Coordinate uniform acquisition and distribution.
  • Monitor and ensure that Managers conduct performance review.
  • Participate in grievance matters.
  • Report  all injuries to insurers and monitor recovery.
  • Plan and execute quarterly annual staff events.
  • Responsible for supervision of Office Attendant/Janitor.  Ensure that the facility is maintained in aesthetically pleasing condition.
  • Assist with local accommodation or transportation for visitors.

Knowledge and Experience

  • BSc in Human Resource Management or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of local Labour Laws.
  • Knowledge of HRM systems and Contracts Management.
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent planning, organizing, people and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Flexible with the ability to work well under pressure.
