Boutique Hotel in Kingston Jamaica seeks to hire a Sales Specialist.

JOB TITLE: SALES SPECIALIST

DEPARTMENT:SALES& MARKETING

REPORTS TO:HOTEL MANAGER

WORKSPACE DESIGNATION:(ON-SITE/HYBRID/REMOTE)

WORKSITE LOCATION: KINGSTON , JAMAICA

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for the management of accounts to achieve guest satisfaction and to solicit past and new business to ensure all revenue goals (ie. Room nights. ADR, Events, meeting room rentals etc} are achieved and exceeded. The position will lead the development and solicitation of business from all markets to ensure the necessary advance bookings are needed for a successful and profitable operation for the hotel.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This position requires the ability to perform the following essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodations:

• Develop and solicit new business leads. Prospect and qualify potential business opportunities.

• Perform outbound sales calls to strengthen existing partnerships and build new relationships.

• Aid in the development of marketing plans, budgets and forecasts.

• Manage the guest room inventory, usage of outlets and identify additional revenue opportunities.

• Lead and develop creative Sales and Marketing strategies for a competitive advantage.

• Utilize social media on behalf of the hotel for community engagement and strategies.

• Increase visibility of hotel by actively participating in community engagement and sponsorships.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

- Bachelor's degree - 2-5 years in a sales/marketing role

- At least 3 years proven track record in sales

- Proficiency in MS Office
