 VACANCY

Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill the following position at the Mount Hope Women’s Hospital, North-Central Regional Health Authority (NCRHA).

HOSPITAL EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCEMAN

MECHANICAL & ELECTRICAL

The incumbent will be responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production of facility equipment and ensure safety practices are adhered to at the Hospital.

Main Responsibilities: 

• Repair stand-by generating sets, oil-fired boilers and auxiliary equipment such as pumps and water softening plants.
• Maintain and repairs mechanical, electrical, dental, refrigerating gas, medical, electronic equipment and water supply and sewage disposal facilities.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine services.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
• Comply with all safety regulations.
• Maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• Perform other related duties as directed by the organisational relationship.

Minimum Qualifications, Training and Experience:

• Advanced Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial maintenance or a related field.
• Minimum of two (2) post qualification years related experience and/or training.
• National Craftsman certificate in the relevant field of Engineering.

*Certificates acquired at foreign universities MUST be supported by certified transcripts as well as evidence that the completed programme is accredited in Trinidad and Tobago.
