HEART Trainee [RAI Checks] (1-Year Contract)

In partnership with HEART/NSTA TRUST, Sagicor Group Jamaica Limited is seeking candidates for the School Leavers’ Training Opportunities Programme (SLTOP) specially designed to bridge the gap between school and the world of work for recent school leavers. Our School Leavers’ Training Opportunities Programme (SLTOP) is for school leavers between the ages of 17 to 23, who have six or more CXC or GCE passes including English Language and Mathematics. In the SLTOP, trainees have the opportunity to work with Sagicor Group Jamaica Limited for up to one year, where they can fully acquaint themselves with the company’s daily operations in order to gain rich, immersive practical knowledge.

Location: Island-Wide

As a HEART Trainee [RAI Checks], you will:

• Provide efficient administrative assistance to support the Branch Manager and Financial Advisors in achieving the objectives of the Branch.
• Monitor the Conservation of the Branch’s portfolio.
• Track monthly premium payments due versus payments received.
• Monitor critical lists.
• Submit premium queries; primarily those for Salary Deduction & PAP Policies.
• Follow up with Operations Teams on queries.
• Perform Open-Source search for any Relevant Adverse Information for all applications submitted.
• Record completed applications on the designated transmittal form and submit to the Scan Centre.
• Perform other job-related duties assigned from time to time.

What do you need?

• A minimum of six (6) CXC or GCE “O” level subjects including English Language and a numeric subject.
• Basic human relations and time management skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Sound knowledge of computer software packages including word processing and spreadsheet applications.
