HEART Trainee - Sales Support Associate (Contract)

Sagicor Life Jamaica Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join our Strategic Business Development team in the capacity of:

 HEART Trainee - Sales Support Associate (Contract)
(Grade 2)

Provide critical support to the Strategic Business Development Unit in executing operational and administrative duties to ensure profitability and growth.

Liaise with internal departments and external partners to ensure the smooth running of the day-to-day operations of the department.

Verify documentation related to applications and provide customer service to existing clients.

In partnership with HEART/NSTA TRUST, Sagicor Group Jamaica Limited is seeking candidates for the School Leavers’ Training Opportunities Programme (SLTOP) specially designed to bridge the gap between school and the world of work for recent school leavers. Our School Leavers’ Training Opportunities Programme (SLTOP) is for school leavers between the ages of 17 to 23, who have six or more CXC or GCE passes including English Language and Mathematics. In the SLTOP, trainees have the opportunity to work with Sagicor Group Jamaica Limited for up to one year, where they can fully acquaint themselves with the company’s daily operations in order to gain rich, immersive practical knowledge.

As HEART Trainee - Sales Support Associate, you will:

• Review all applications for new and existing clients to fulfil on-boarding requirements.
• Update application tracker.
• Liaise with clients and internal partners to ensure applications are perfected.
• Pull credit reports.
• Liaise with clients to provide update on the status of their applications.
• Prepare account analysis.
• Assist with customer service inquiries and ensure proper resolution by responsible party.
• Prepare reports on the status of all applications and tasks completed.
• Perform any other job-related duties assigned from time to time.

What do you need?

• A minimum of six (6) subjects at the CXC (General Proficiency) or GCE (Ordinary) level, including English Language and Mathematics.
• Sound knowledge of computer software packages including spreadsheet and word processing applications.
• Proven ability to operate within a multi-project environment and perform under tight deadlines, with high level of initiative and enthusiasm.
• Sound understanding of the financial sector, banking instruments and the regulatory environment.
• Sound knowledge of Sagicor Bank products and services and operations.
• Well-developed interpersonal and influencing skills to build and maintain effective working relationships and elicit cooperation from internal and external partners throughout all management levels.
• Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills.
• Excellent communication skills (listening, understanding and responding).
• Ability to work under pressure and on own initiative, independently and in a team environment.
• High levels of professionalism, integrity, confidentiality, and ethical standards.
