Sagicor Bank Jamaica Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join our Branch Operations team in the capacity of: 

 HEART Trainee –

May Pen (Contract) (Grade 2)

Provide support to the branch operations team through administrative, operational, and customer-facing activities.

Assist with filing, client communication, and general service support functions while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions.

In partnership with HEART/NSTA TRUST, Sagicor Group Jamaica Limited is seeking candidates for the School Leavers’ Training Opportunities Programme (SLTOP) specially designed to bridge the gap between school and the world of work for recent school leavers. Our School Leavers’ Training Opportunities Programme (SLTOP) is for school leavers between the ages of 17 to 23, who have six or more CXC or GCE passes including English Language and Mathematics. In the SLTOP, trainees have the opportunity to work with Sagicor Group Jamaica Limited for up to one year, where they can fully acquaint themselves with the company’s daily operations in order to gain rich, immersive practical knowledge.

Location: Clarendon

As HEART Trainee, you will:

• Contact clients for the collection of cheque books, debit/credit cards, and returned cheques.
• Update KYC (Know Your Customer) records as directed and ensure accuracy and confidentiality.
• Perform general filing, record organization, and document retrieval to support daily branch operations.
• Assist in maintaining accurate logs for client communication and document handling.
• Greet clients courteously and assist with basic inquiries.
• Assist clients in routing to the appropriate area for transaction processing and provide updates on their waiting time.
• Support the floor-walking process by ensuring clients are efficiently directed and engaged.
• Assist with resolving simple client queries under supervision.
• Participate in the sales referral process by identifying opportunities and directing clients to the appropriate officer.
• Assist with pinning debit and credit cards.
• Perform any other job-related duties assigned from time to time.

What do you need?

• A minimum of six (6) subjects at the CXC (General Proficiency) or GCE (Ordinary) level, including English Language and Mathematics.
• Sound knowledge of computer software packages including spreadsheet and word processing applications.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).
• Courteous, professional, and client-focused demeanour.
• Good organizational and time management abilities.
• Keen attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Willingness to learn and contribute to team objectives.
• Positive attitude and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
