HEART Trainee (1-Year Contract)

In partnership with HEART/NSTA TRUST, Sagicor Group Jamaica Limited is seeking candidates for the School Leavers’ Training Opportunities Programme (SLTOP) specially designed to bridge the gap between school and the world of work for recent school leavers. Our School Leavers’ Training Opportunities Programme (SLTOP) is for school leavers between the ages of 17 to 23, who have six or more CXC or GCE passes including English Language and Mathematics. In the SLTOP, trainees have the opportunity to work with Sagicor Group Jamaica Limited for up to one year, where they can fully acquaint themselves with the company’s daily operations in order to gain rich, immersive practical knowledge.

Location: Kingston

As a HEART Trainee, you will:

• Confidently and respectfully assist clients with their respective queries in a professional, client-friendly manner, referring more difficult cases to the Manager or Supervisor.
• Increase public awareness of Sagicor products and services, ensuring that all documents received in the Client Care area are accurately completed and dispatched to the respective support departments for action.
• Interact daily with clients by phone and email and perform KYC remediation for clients.
• Handle submission of requests and update KYC information received for clients on both files and our core system.
• Keep accurate electronic log of all KYC updates.
• Prepare and dispatch correspondence to clients and handle clients' requests.
• Contact clients to inform them of the status of their request.
• Perform other job-related duties assigned from time to time.

What do you need?

• Minimum of six (6) CSEC/GCE O’ Level subjects including a numeric subject and English Language.
• Sound knowledge of the Client Relations principles.
• Sound knowledge of Sagicor products and services and operations.
• Excellent interpersonal relations skills.
• Good time management skills.
• Sound knowledge of computer software packages including word processing and spreadsheet applications.
