HACCP Supervisor

Margaritaville Grand Turk seeks to identify a HACCP Supervisor

CORE FUNCTION:   Implement, participate and train employees on the principles of food hygiene & safety procedures, among other supervisory duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

• Develop HACCP plans and SOPs & coordinate the external and internal programs for food hygiene established by the company.
• Performs internal audits to ensure that areas and personnel in all involved areas comply with the appropriate hygiene standards.
• Guide and facilitate external audits from government entities and other regulatory bodies related to food hygiene and health and safety, perform advance inspections, maintain accurate documents and communications with the departments involved.
• Facilitate the implementation of plans for corrective actions for compliance with the relevant standards.
• Follows up through audits on corrective and preemptive actions that have been detected.
• Schedules and performs analysis on lab samples for water from the cooling tower.
• Train employees in the relevant Food Safety and Fire Safety standards.
• Creates and guides sustainability activities on location including train the staff on the implementation of sustainable practices in their daily activities.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum 2 years professional experience in a similar position. Experience supervising teams would be considered an asset.
• Good written and verbal communication skills, with excellent command of the English language.
• Ability to interact professionally with other departments and outside contacts.
• Ability to work on own initiative and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Good judgment and decision-making abilities.
• Development and delivery of training courses.
• Management of Microsoft Office.

• Knowledge of the development and implementation of food safety management systems, including HACCP.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Natural Sciences, Microbiology, Public Health or a related field
• Food safety management system certified.

Able to work flexible hours including, weekends and public holidays.

The company will be required to apply for a work permit on behalf of successful applicants from outside the islands.
