Sagicor Life Jamaica Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join our Group Treasury & Asset Management Operations team in the capacity of:

 

 

GTAM Operations Officer - Production Support

 

 

Support the business requirements in the provision of ongoing system enhancements & testing services through the provision of business-related system test activity on projects, as guided by the test team.

 

Act as key reference point for the branch network and business units for day-to-day issues relating to core and secondary software systems and applications.

 

 

Location: Kingston

 

As a GTAM Operations Officer – Production Support, you will:

 

  • Investigate operational requirements for straight forward service requests changes, issues, contributing to improvements in information systems, data management, processes/procedures.
  • Create clear and precise business requirements that are generated from Action Requests (ARs).
  • Perform User Acceptance Testing for new systems being implemented and / or M&ECR's (Maintenance & Enhancement Change Requests) created to resolve the action requests.
  • Support the implementation of new systems, processes, and revised policies, procedures and guidelines to units; assists in resolving any resulting or outstanding issues and provides appropriate feedback to all for all service delivery supported systems.
  • Identify information flows, processes and procedures that will meet the business requirements for change requests.
  • Identify issues related to core systems or guidelines negatively impacting efficient and effective processing or client care within the unit; documents clearly and initiates appropriate escalation to Manager.
  • Provide clear and precise documentation to facilitate a non-disruptive implementation and adequate knowledge transfer for post- implementation and audit trails aligned to Sagicor Investments Jamaica standards.
  • Conduct research & analyses that assist in the resolution of account reconciliations, audit findings, complex internal customer queries and change requests.
  • Assume ownership of issues/concerns at first point of contact. Ensure appropriate escalation to supervisor or relevant person/department.
  • Manage portfolio of assigned incidents and service requests from branches and business units by satisfying requests and enabling effective use of supported applications
  • Perform other job-related duties assigned from time to time.

 

What do you need?

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Management Studies, IT, Banking & Finance or related discipline from a recognized tertiary institution
  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience in financial services industry.
  • Knowledge of regulations governing financial institutions.
  • Knowledge of Project Management tools and techniques.
  • Advanced proficiency of computer software packages including spreadsheet and word processing applications.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to investigate and resolve complex issues.
  • Sound organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks/assignments.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively both in oral and written form, with a wide range of individuals at varying levels.
  • Knowledge of financial software systems & applications.
  • Ability to complete assigned tasks without constant supervision.
