Group Financial Controller

The Financial Controller will oversee accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting while ensuring strong internal controls and financial compliance across the group of companies.

Job Description:

As the Financial Controller you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecast preparation, as well as the development of internal control policies and procedures for the group of companies.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of the group’s financial accounting, reporting systems, and financial controls.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop and implement robust financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
• Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, providing strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior management.
• Analyze financial data and performance metrics to provide actionable insights for decision-making and performance improvements.
• Monitor and interpret cash flows and manage cash flow forecasting.
• Coordinate and manage external audits and ensure compliance.
• Manage and mentor team members, providing guidance and support to enhance their performance and skillset.
• Evaluate and improve financial systems to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
• Collaborate with other departments and managers within the group to support and drive business initiatives while ensuring financial goals are achieved.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master’s Degree or CPA qualification is advantageous.
• Proven experience in a senior financial role, preferably as a Financial Controller or similar, overseeing multiple entities or divisions.
• In-depth knowledge of financial principles, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong leadership and managerial skills with the ability to lead and develop a team.
• Exceptional analytical, strategic planning and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Proficient in QuickBooks with advanced MS Excel skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple priorities effectively.
