The incumbent will report to the Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for delivering timely, accurate and insightful financial analysis so that to inform savvy decision making and strategic planning.

 

The Stewart's Automotive Group is seeking a qualified and experienced candidate with a strong work ethic and who is detailed oriented to fill the position of:

 

GROUP FINANCIAL ANALYST

 

POSITION SUMMARY:  The Group Financial Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting senior management by delivering timely, accurate, and insightful financial analysis to inform strategic decision-making. This position is responsible for compiling, reviewing, and interpreting financial and operational data to track the organization’s performance and highlight trends or issues requiring attention. The Group Financial Analyst is expected to maintain strict confidentiality, adhere to established company policies, and ensure all analyses and reporting comply with the standards set forth in the Stewarts Automotive Group Handbook. In addition to preparing detailed daily performance reports, the analyst collaborates with various departments to support budgeting, forecasting, and project initiatives, demonstrating a high level of analytical thinking, integrity, and commitment to organizational excellence.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide analytical support, reporting, forecasting, and project assistance to Senior Management.
  • Conduct analysis of key performance indicators to identify potential opportunities within the Parts and Service Departments.
  • Develop data models for monthly reports distributed to key stakeholders to measure actual financial performance to budget and prior year.
  • Support annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Analyse monthly Jamaica Automotive Dealers Association data and present findings to senior management.
  • Contribute to the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual external reports.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by Senior Management.

 

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field is required; a professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, or CFA would be an asset.
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in financial analysis, reporting, or a similar analytical role, preferably within the automotive or retail or banking industry.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and PowerPoint), with demonstrated experience in financial modelling and data visualization.
  • Familiarity with accounting software and ERP systems; experience with SAP or Oracle is advantageous.
  • Exceptional analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and present actionable insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities to effectively interact with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • High standards of integrity and confidentiality; demonstrates sound judgment and ethical decision-making.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, displaying initiative and adaptability.
