Finance Officer
Seeking a motivated, detail-oriented and self-driven senior accountant with 4+ years general accounting experience who will support management through carrying out both accounting and administrative functions and will serve as a key contributor in a fast-paced environment. You must be good at numbers, especially in financial modeling & analysis.
Main Duties
Responsible for managing a company's financial operations, including budgeting, financial reporting, compliance and payroll. Manages daily financial and accounting tasks for the business including bookkeeping and collections. Prepares and maintains financial statements and monthly payroll. Compiles reports and prepares balance sheets.
Responsibilities
You will work on a diverse set of activities including, but not limited to:
Posting and processing journal entries
Preparation of monthly payroll and GCT schedule
Maintenance of payable and receivable schedules, especially those under special arrangement.
Daily follow up with suppliers and customers where necessary to minimise and collect delinquent accounts receivable
Generating invoices
Responsible for payment and entering bills in quickbooks software.
Monitoring bank and credit card activities and updating general ledger accordingly, particularly receivable records.
Keeping abreast with bank reconciliations.
Preparing monthly journals ( eg. Depreciation, Interest income, interest expense (loans/credit card) etc.
Maintenance of Fixed asset/Software register.
Report to and liaise with Accounting and Tax Consultant and other external partners such as bank, TAJ, etc.
Generation of weekly cash flow statements, monthly management reports, receivables report, monthly budget, sales commission report and engineering project revenue report.
Collect, categorize, calculate, verify and enter data to maintain accurate records.
Requirements
Minimum 4 years of experience in accounting field
Bachelor’s degree, Associates Degree in Accounting or equivalent
ACCA or CFI certifications is a big PLUS
Working knowledge of local laws regarding accounting, finances and taxation
Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in full cycle accounting report writing
Experience with MS Office
Experience with Quickbooks
Advanced spreadsheet skills
Ability to work independently, dependable, highly organized and attention to detail
Ability to deliver against tight deadlines
