Support the effective management of the Group’s financial assets and liabilities

Supporting the effective management of the Group’s financial assets and liabilities. This position is responsible for assisting in the optimal utilization of cash resources across the Group, contributing to the overall financial efficiency and sustainability of operations. The role involves aiding in the preparation of cash flow forecasts to proactively manage financial risks, ensuring alignment with the Group’s financial objectives. By maintaining robust financial practices, the Group Finance Assistant helps safeguard the financial health and operational stability of the Group.

Duties include:

1. Cash Flow Reviews - Support the review and analysis of projected cash flow reports across Group companies. Collaborate with various departments to assess and forecast cash requirements, identifying and mitigating potential financial risks related to liquidity and cash management.

2. Preparation of Cash Projections - Prepare periodic standalone and consolidated cash flow projections, including variance analyses, for review by the Group Finance Manager to support strategic financial planning.

3.  Execution of Treasury Instructions - Process and dispatch treasury-related instructions, including local and foreign wire transfers, intercompany loans, establishment and closure of deposits, banking facilities, and Bankers’ Acceptances for Group entities

4. Intercompany Transaction Coordination - Ensure timely and accurate recording of intercompany loans, interest charges, and income. Maintain consistency in data entry standards to uphold financial integrity and compliance across the Group.

5. Loan Documentation Management - Liaise with external financial institutions to facilitate the execution of documentation required to establish or amend credit facilities, ensuring adherence to all legal and compliance obligations.

6. Banking Relationship Management - Assist in maintaining strong relationships with the Group’s banking partners to ensure all accounts remain in good standing.

7. Account Database Maintenance - Maintain a comprehensive and up-to-date database of all banking and financial accounts, including signing authorities, online access credentials, and relevant terms and conditions.

8.Security Administration - Administer user access and security protocols for online banking platforms, ensuring appropriate controls are in place.

9. Issue Resolution and Business Support - Assist in troubleshooting treasury-related issues, including foreign currency exchange discrepancies, and contribute to identifying and implementing effective business solutions.

10. External Debt Profile Management - Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date registers for all short-term and long-term loans established by the Group with external financial institutions.

11. Intercompany Loan Register Maintenance - Maintain detailed registers for all intercompany loans—both short-term and long-term—between Group entities.

12. Maintain Financial Data Database - Gather financial information that will serves as data inputs for integration into the Group’s consolidation reporting software. This will facilitate the preparation of quarterly Board reports, and any additional reports as required.

13. General Office Duties -  Perform general office duties such as answering phones, managing correspondence, and maintaining office supplies.
