They are seeking a strategic Group Chief Financial Officer to partner with the Managing Director and executive leadership team to shape the next stage of the Group’s development.

  

THE ROLE

The Group Chief Financial Officer will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team responsible for developing and executing the financial strategy of the Group.

The Group CFO will oversee financial operations across all business units while partnering closely with operating leaders to drive profitability, capital efficiency, and disciplined growth.

This role combines financial leadership, commercial insight, and operational governance across a multi-entity Caribbean business.

  

STRATEGIC PRIORITIES FOR THE ROLE

  • Strengthening the financial architecture across all group entities
  • Improving financial visibility and reporting across business units
  • Driving profitability improvements and cost discipline

  • Modernising financial systems and ERP capabilities
  • Enhancing financial governance and internal controls

  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Strategy & Leadership

  • Develop and execute the financial strategy of the Group
  • Advise executive leadership on capital allocation and investment decisions
  • Evaluate growth opportunities, acquisitions, and new ventures
  • Support long-term financial planning and strategic initiatives

Business Partnership

  • Partner with operating leaders across all divisions
  • Provide financial insights to support data-driven decision making
  • Develop financial models to evaluate strategic opportunities
  • Identify margin improvement opportunities across the portfolio

Financial Operations

  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes
  • Lead consolidated financial reporting across all entities
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS and regulatory requirements
  • Strengthen financial controls and governance frameworks

Capital & Cash Management

  • Manage group liquidity and working capital optimisation
  • Maintain relationships with banking and financial partners
  • Evaluate financing options for growth initiatives
  • Monitor foreign exchange exposure and risk mitigation strategies

Systems & Process Transformation

  • Lead implementation and optimisation of ERP and business intelligence systems
  • Introduce automation and digital tools to improve financial efficiency
  • Improve data visibility and reporting accuracy across business units

Risk & Compliance

  • Oversee enterprise risk management frameworks
  • Ensure compliance with tax, regulatory, and financial reporting obligations
  • Align financial governance with international best practices

Leadership & Culture

  • Build and mentor a high-performing finance team
  • Establish consistent financial practices across the Group
  • Promote financial discipline and accountability throughout the organisation

  

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • The ideal candidate is a strategic finance leader with experience managing complex multi-entity organisations.
  • They will bring a combination of technical expertise, commercial acumen, and leadership capability.

  

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CA or equivalent)
  • MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification preferred

  

EXPERIENCE

  • 12–15+ years of progressive finance leadership experience.
  • Experience in multi-entity or multi-industry organisations.
  • Strong background in financial strategy and capital planning.
  • Experience leading financial transformation or ERP implementation.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, financial reporting tools, and advanced Excel modelling.
  • Experience in automation and digital transformation is an asset.
  • Strong understanding of Caribbean tax laws, international tax structuring, and regulatory compliance (AML, FATCA, etc.).

  

Industry Experience (Preferred)

Experience in one or more of the following sectors is highly desirable:

  • Automotive or equipment distribution.
  • Marine or recreational industries.
  • Hospitality or tourism.
  • Retail or consumer brands.
