JOB SUMMARY

The Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a key member of the Executive Management Team and serves as the principal financial advisor to the CEO and Board of Directors. The CFO is responsible for shaping and executing the organisation’s financial strategy, safeguarding the company’s financial strength, and enabling sustainable growth through disciplined capital allocation, performance insight, and institutional governance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Financial & Capital Leadership: 
• Develop and execute the organisation’s financial strategy aligned to corporate objectives and multi-year strategic plans.
• Provide strategic financial direction to the CEO and Board, supporting long-term planning, forecasting and enterprise value creation.
• Lead capital structure optimisation, funding strategy, and cost-of-capital management.
• Oversee capital allocation decisions, ensuring disciplined evaluation of investments and major capital expenditures.
• Support the long term strategic planning , mergers , acquisitions and expansion.

Treasury, Liquidity & Risk Management:
• Oversee treasury operations, including cash flow forecasting, liquidity management and working capital optimisation.
• Lead foreign exchange exposure management and funding strategies aligned to import and export operations.
• Design and implement enterprise-wide risk management frameworks, including financial impact modelling and scenario planning.
• Maintain strong relationships with banks, financial institutions and funding partners.

Financial Planning, Performance & Business Insight: 
• Lead annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting and multi-year financial planning processes.
• Provide forward-looking financial analysis and scenario modelling to support strategic and operational decision-making.
• Analyse organisational operations to identify revenue improvement, cost optimisation, system enhancements and portfolio adjustments.

Governance, Compliance & Financial Integrity:
• Ensure compliance with all statutory, regulatory and tax requirements across the Group.
• Oversee the preparation and finalisation of annual and periodic financial statements and coordinate external audits.
• Establish and maintain robust internal controls that safeguard company assets and support accurate financial reporting.
• Develop, enhance and enforce financial and accounting policies aligned with regulatory standards and global best practices.

Financial Operations & Systems Leadership:
• Manage the full spectrum of finance functions, including accounting, reporting, budgeting, treasury, debt management, credit management and tax.
• Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll and treasury functions to ensure operational efficiency.
• Implement process improvements that increase efficiency, accuracy and scalability of financial operations.
• Assist in stock taking and inventory verification processes as required. 
Leadership, Culture & Stakeholder Engagement: 
• Build, mentor and lead high-performing a finance team
• Establish clear performance expectations and foster a culture of accountability, integrity and continuous improvement.
• Partner cross-functionally with operations, sales, marketing and human resources to align financial and operational performance.
• Manage relationships with external auditors, brokers, regulators, banks and third-party service providers.
• Promote safety awareness and ensure compliance with all policies and procedures.
• Perform any other duties as required to support the organisation’s objectives.
 
 
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Post Graduate qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Business or other related field of study.
  • CPA, CIMA or other professional certification from recognized institution.
  • Must be ACCA qualified.
  • A minimum of 8 years’ experience at a senior management level
