Group CCTV & Surveillance Systems Specialist

S.M.Jaleel & Co Ltd is seeking a suitable and qualified, Group CCTV & Surveillance Systems Specialist.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Group CCTV & Surveillance Systems Specialist will provide strategic oversight and hands-on technical expertise for all company CCTV and electronic security systems. This role ensures reliable coverage, legal compliance, and timely support for investigations across SM Jaleel and its subsidiaries.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Strategy & Governance

• Audit the existing CCTV estate and maintain a central asset register.
• Identify coverage gaps and recommend upgrades or new deployments.
• Enforce compliance with the Trinidad & Tobago Data Protection Act and applicable regional privacy laws.

Installation & Maintenance

• Design, install, configure, and test cameras, NVRs/DVRs, VMS, cabling, and power/UPS solutions.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, firmware updates, and fault diagnosis.
• Ensure secure backup, retention, and user-friendly footage retrieval.

Security & Cybersecurity

• Configure secure remote access (e.g., VPN), manage user roles, and maintain audit logs.
• Apply cybersecurity best practices to all CCTV-related network components.

Incident Support & Compliance

• Provide timely video exports and technical assistance during investigations.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, diagrams, and compliance records.

Collaboration & Training

• Coordinate with Security, IT, Facilities, and external vendors.
• Train site personnel in basic CCTV troubleshooting and usage.
• Supervise contractors when engaged.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

• Technician Advanced Diploma in Applied Electrical & Electronics Engineering (or equivalent).
• 3–4 years installing/servicing enterprise CCTV systems; 2–3 years in a lead or supervisory capacity.
• Proficient with CCTV/VMS platforms, networking fundamentals, and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
• Industry certifications in CCTV, electronic security, or network administration.
• Experience supporting multi-site surveillance in manufacturing/distribution environments.
• Working knowledge of OSH and security compliance standards for industrial settings.
