Grinding Technician

Apes Hill Resort Inc., a world premier golf resort and community, is seeking to recruit a highly dynamic and motivated individual to join our Golf Maintenance team in the capacity of Grinding Technician.

The Grinding Technician will be responsible for maintaining the sharpness of all cutting tools and equipment so as to ensure that maintenance of the Company's Golf Course and its landscaping remain at the expected quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensures effective troubleshooting of grinding machinery to ensure the best grinding results.
• Services and completes basic repairs to all equipment.
• Completes a daily inspection of the quality cut for all equipment in use.
• Maintains an active record of all cutting heights of the various golf course areas.
• Develops a grinding schedule for all cutting machinery.
• Oversees work done by assistant / assigned associates.
• Complies with all Health & Safety Company policies and procedures and legal requirements.

Qualifications & Competencies:

• Completion of a basic Secondary education with at least a minimum of three (3) CXC or GCE “O” level subjects.
• A minimum of one (1) years' experience in a similar capacity.
• Sound knowledge of landscaping and hand and power tool operations.
• Understanding of precision grinding and safety procedures.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and interpret manufacturers specifications.
