Graphics Artist

Plan, develop, implement and protect all company’s graphical assets, whilst ensuring that accurate information is submitted. The Graphic Artist is responsible for the organisation’s presence in digital and on social media and is re-quired to create and implement design concepts.
Main Responsibilities:
- Plan and discuss requirements and objectives of all jobs with the GMM
- Interpret and develop design concepts
- Provide estimate of time required to complete task and ensure completion of same
- Produce new ideas and concepts as required
- Use innovation to redefine a design brief within cost and timeframe
- Present finalise ideas and concepts to the GMM
- Proofread and submit accurate work of high quality standards
- Create advertisements as required
- Demonstrate illustrative skills with rough sketches
- Create layout and artwork for final output
- Keep abreast of emerging technology in digital and social media
- Work as part of a team with marketing and/or other departments within the organisation
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Keep accurate records of all designs/work completed
- Maintain security and proper storage of company’s graphical assets
- Any other related activities as assigned
Qualifications and Experience:
- Tertiary level / Professional qualification in Graphic Design
- 3 years experience in Graphic Design
- Good understanding of current design trends
- Record of conceptual thinking (idea to execution)
- Knowledge of Adobe suite
- Exceptional creativity
- Good communications and writing skills
- Knowledge of printing processes
- Sound knowledge of web administration
