Global Customer Accounts Analyst

Overview: Our client is a highly respected and well-established provider of energy solutions in Barbados and across the Caribbean region. Due to growth, they are seeking to recruit a suitably qualified and competent professional to join their accounting team in Barbados. The successful candidate will fill a permanent position of Global Customer Accounts Analyst within the Credit Unit of the Finance Department.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Generating daily statements from a USD account and applying all payments timely.
• Allocating customer payments to invoices according to customer remittances and entering payments into ERP
• Resolving /addressing all customer queries related to payments, tickets, deliveries or any other customer related issues
• Ensuring the receivables balances for global customers are accurate.
• Using Microsoft access tool to submit invoices and summaries periodically to specific customers
• Applying inter-company settlements between various Rubis entities in a timely and accurate manner
• Setting up accounts as per contractual terms and updating contract information in the ERP.
• Preparing periodic status reports on specific account balances
• Supporting all departmental /IT related system updates or projects for the overall improvement of the department.

Requirements:

• BSc. in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum of three (3) years’ work experience in accounting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products especially Excel and Word
• Detail oriented with good numerical skills
• Results oriented and self-motivated
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and perform with a high degree of accuracy
• Good problem-solving skills
• Some knowledge of XML/HTML would be an asset
• Willingness to travel within the region if needed
