LASCO Manufacturing Limited, a leader in the food manufacturing industry, seeks to recruit experienced individuals for the position of General Service Engineer.

We’re looking for a skilled and dynamic General Services Engineer to join our team.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the General Services Engineer is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and improvement of all facility support systems, including utilities, water treatment, HVAC, fire safety, forklifts, racking, access control, and building infrastructure. This role ensures safe, efficient, and compliant operations while supporting preventive maintenance, safety oversight, and vendor coordination.
The ideal candidate will execute the following duties:
- Manage and maintain utilities systems (compressed air, water treatment, steam generators), Forklifts, HVAC systems.
- Oversee facility repairs, infrastructure maintenance, fire systems and wastewater treatment operations and maintenance.
- Implement preventive maintenance schedules, startup checklists, and safety procedures.
- Act as Safety Officer
- Coordinate with contractors, request quotations, and manage critical spare parts.
- Lead continuous improvement projects for energy efficiency and operational reliability.
The ideal candidate should preferably have the following skills and knowledge:
- Knowledge of utilities, high and low air compressors, water treatment, HVAC, safety systems, forklifts and facility repairs.
- High Knowledge of Bellis high-pressure air compressors will be a major asset.
- Strong leadership, troubleshooting, and vendor management skills.
Education and Experience:
- Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in industrial and manufacturing maintenance.
- Experience in the Food Manufacturing environment is an asset.
- OSHA certification and CMMS experience are advantages.
