Job Summary: As the General Manager of our virtual restaurant, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating all aspects of the restaurant's operations, with a primary focus on managing online orders and delivery services. The virtual restaurant does not offer in-dining services but received online orders through the restaurant's website, food delivery applications, or the drive-through window. Your leadership and strategic acumen will be crucial in developing a strong social media presence to build brand awareness in the competitive marketplace. You will be responsible for ensuring seamless order preparation, maintaining food quality, managing the website, and overseeing the entire team of chefs and cooks operating in the live kitchen environment.

Responsibilities:

Online Order Management:

  • Supervise the order processing system to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment.
  • Implement strategies to optimize order preparation time and delivery efficiency.
  • Monitor order tracking and address any delivery-related issues promptly.

Food Quality and Kitchen Operations:

  • Oversee the team of chefs and cooks in the live kitchen to maintain consistent food quality.
  • Implement and enforce food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Regularly review and update the menu offerings in collaboration with the Culinary Development Team.

Website and E-commerce Management:

  • Manage the restaurant's website and e-commerce platforms to ensure a user-friendly experience.
  • Monitor website traffic, analyze customer behavior, and implement improvements to drive online sales.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional campaigns through the website and social media channels.

Social Media and Brand Building:

  • Work closely with the marketing team to develop and execute social media strategies.
  • Engage with customers on social media platforms to build a loyal customer base.
  • Monitor online reviews and respond to customer feedback to maintain a positive brand image.

Financial Performance and Reporting:

  • Develop and manage budgets to ensure efficient resource allocation.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sales, order volume, customer satisfaction, etc.
  • Prepare regular performance reports for the owners, highlighting areas for improvement and growth opportunities.

 

Staff Management and Development:

  • Recruit, train, and supervise staff to ensure a competent and motivated team.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to enhance team performance.
  • Foster a positive work culture that encourages collaboration and excellence.

Vendor Relations:

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with food suppliers and delivery partners.
  • Negotiate favorable terms to optimize cost and delivery efficiency.

Customer Service:

  • Ensure exceptional customer service is provided at all times.
  • Address customer inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally.

 

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Online order fulfillment rate.
  • Order preparation time and delivery efficiency.
  • Customer satisfaction scores and reviews.
  • Sales and revenue growth through online channels.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in restaurant management, preferably in a virtual or online-based setup.
  • Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms and website management.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Solid understanding of social media marketing and brand building.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Business acumen and ability to analyze financial data.
  • Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is a plus.
