General Manager (Medical Centre)

A well-established medical practice in Kingston, Jamaica is seeking an experienced General Manager to provide overall leadership for clinical and non-clinical operations. This role is responsible for ensuring operational excellence, financial sustainability, regulatory compliance, and an exceptional patient experience, in partnership with clinical leadership.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide strategic leadership and execute operational plans aligned with clinical goals and financial objectives
• Oversee day-to-day operations, including front desk, scheduling, electronic medical records, and IT systems
• Develop, manage, and monitor the annual operating budget, revenue performance, and cost controls
• Ensure compliance with all applicable healthcare regulations, data protection, and privacy requirements
• Lead, manage, and develop clinical and non-clinical teams, including recruitment, performance management, and staff engagement
• Champion a patient-centered culture and drive initiatives to improve patient satisfaction, access, and service quality
• Identify and mitigate operational, financial, and clinical risks; maintain audit readiness
• Develop, implement, and enforce policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures
• Oversee facilities, equipment maintenance, safety standards, and cybersecurity protocols
• Support business growth through oversight of marketing, business development, and stakeholder relationships

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field
• Minimum of 5–7 years’ progressive leadership experience in healthcare operations or medical practice management
• Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, financial management, and operational controls
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related discipline
• Professional certification such as CMPE or equivalent
• Experience managing multi-site operations
