Role Overview
As the General Manager of Malliouhana, this person will be the resort’s chief executive, responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences, ensuring operational excellence, and driving financial performance. Your leadership will shape the resort's strategic direction and uphold its legacy as a top Caribbean destination.
Core Responsibilities
1. Operational Leadership
Oversee seamless daily operations across all departments, Front Desk, Quality Assurance, Food & Beverage, Spa, Events, Maintenance, and Sales & Marketing
Maintain exceptional property standards through daily inspections and quality control
2. Financial Management
Build, monitor, and manage budgets. Drive revenue across rooms, F&B, spa, and special events
Employ revenue management strategies, forecasting, and cost control to maximize profitability
3. Guest Experience
Foster a culture of service excellence. Handle guest feedback and resolve issues swiftly to ensure guest satisfaction
Act as the resort’s ambassador, engaging personally with guests to reinforce the Malliouhana experience
4. Team Leadership & Development
Assist in Recruiting, mentoring, and supervising department heads; nurture a culture of continuous performance improvement
Champion staff retention and foster a supportive, motivated team culture
5. Strategic Vision & Brand Management
Set and execute long-term strategies to elevate the resort’s luxury positioning and guest offerings
Collaborate with ownership or the management company (e.g., Storey Hotel Management Group) on strategic initiatives and milestones such as anniversaries or major campaigns
6. Sales, Marketing & External Relations
Lead sales and marketing efforts to drive awareness and occupancy; collaborate with travel advisors, media, and partners
Manage Malliouhana’s reputation in the hospitality industry and local community
7. Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and local legal regulations
Maintain business continuity and crisis readiness.
8. Qualifications & Profile
Education: Bachelor’s (preferably in Hospitality, Business, or related field); advanced or executive education is highly valued.
Experience: Proven leadership in luxury resort or hotel settings, with strong P&L oversight and cross-departmental management
