PwC is managing a confidential recruitment process for a visionary General Manager to lead operations, drive growth, and deliver exceptional results for one of a group of companies in the food processing manufacturing industry.

About the Role
This role requires a strategic leader with a proven track record in operations and business management in a regional context. This role has significant potential for advancement for a high performer seeking to grow the business and to grow professionally within the group of companies.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy: Develop and implement long-term strategic plans and annual operating goals.
Finance, Planning & Budgeting:
Supervise preparation of annual budgets and monitor implementation.
Ensure robust procurement practices and cost optimisation across the business.
Sales & Marketing:
Establish and review sales and profit goals, and ensure alignment with market trends and corporate standards
Monitor market trends and competitive analysis; develop pricing strategies.
Review, approve and monitor marketing strategies, advertising, and promotional campaigns for all brands.
Operations & Quality:
Drive continuous improvement in product quality, production efficiency, and waste control.
Implement preventative maintenance plans for plant machinery and equipment.
Champion innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations.
HR & Leadership:
Represent the organisation in labour negotiations and maintain positive industrial relations.
Build and mentor a high-performing management team across Operations, Quality Assurance, Sales & Marketing, Finance and HR.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
MBA or other Master’s level degree in Business or a related field.
At least 10 years’ experience as a General Manager or a Head of Operations in a food processing manufacturing company with an export division.
(Note that candidates with a Bachelor’s degree will be considered if they have more than the minimum years of experience).
Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
Strong digital skills and high financial acumen.
Proven ability to build high-performing teams to deliver results.
While not required, bilingual ability (English/Spanish, English/French) would be an asset for the candidate’s future development.
