General Manager

A food manufacturing and distribution company located on the Uriah Butler Highway, Charlieville is seeking a qualified, self-motivated and results-driven General Manager. Your entrepreneurial spirit and vision in directing business functions will assist our organization in maintaining relationships with clients, generating new business, increasing staff productivity, improving service, ensuring sustainability and meeting business objectives.

 Responsibilities:

• Oversee day to day operations and develop and implement business policies, processes, strategies and programs
• Allocate and maintain budgets and optimize expenses
• Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance
• Hiring, training, monitoring and motivating staff, ensure they follow health and safety regulations
• Researching and identifying growth opportunities
• Engaging with Vendors and
• Preparation of weekly and monthly reports for upper management

Requirements:

• BSc/BA in Business or relevant field: MSc/MA is a plus
• Proven experience as a General Manager or similar executive role
• Proficient in MS Suite
• Knowledge of business processes and functions (general business administration, accounting, finance, human resource, procurement, operations, marketing, international business)
• Strong interpersonal skills and multi-task oriented
• Must be able to work independently on own initiative
• Highly organized and strong work ethic
• Strong analytical ability and leadership skills
