VACANCY 

Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill the following position at the North-Central Regional Health Authority (NCRHA):

GENERAL MANAGER, FACILITIES

The incumbent will be responsible for providing strategic, system-wide oversight and ensuring that all facilities operate to the same standards and that goals are strategically aligned with the Authority.

Main Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership, guidance and budgetary oversight and cost control at the Facility level by managing facility-related expenses in alignment with the organisation’s priorities.
• Ensure stricter control over projects and budgets, ensuring standardized preventative maintenance and budgeting aligned to the organisational strategy.
• Responsible for establishing and developing Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for all facilities.
• Conduct Facility/Hospital inspections.
• Oversee and supervise all facility staffing attached to the Facilities / Hospitals.
• Align Facilities / Hospital services with the Authorities’ goals, implementing new systems, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure enforcement of Health and Safety, Fire Safety and all pertinent regulations in accordance with local and international standards.
  • Develop and implement Operational Plans and Facilities Management policy and procedures.
  • Provide adequate supervision with regard to procurement and materials management within the Authority.
  • Ensure efficient and effective management and operations of all NCRHA Hospitals and Health Facilities.
• Oversee maintenance and repairs of facilities, equipment and systems within the Authority. 
• Contribute as a member of the Senior Management Team in the Authority’s transformation thrust and will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer.
• Assess and determine staffing needs and assists in the policy formulation in the area of manpower planning and development of the Authority.
• Liaises with manager and senior executives. 
• Perform other related duties as directed by the organizational relationship.

Minimum Qualifications, Training and Experience:

• Postgraduate Degree in one (1) of the following disciplines or related disciplines:
  • Business Administration
  • Hospital Administration
• Minimum of 2-5 years of post-qualification or hospital management related experience in a related job function.
• Experience in a healthcare environment will be an asset. 

* Certificates acquired at foreign universities MUST be supported by certified transcripts as well as evidence that the completed programme is accredited in Trinidad and Tobago.
