Capita Insurance Brokerage (CIB) invites applications for the position of General Manager — a pivotal leadership role responsible for directing and advancing the strategic, operational, and commercial objectives of the organisation.
As General Manager, you will serve as the driving force behind strategic direction, operational excellence, and business development initiatives that position CIB as a market leader in innovation, service quality, and performance.
Provide strategic and operational leadership to ensure alignment with the directives and vision of the Board of Directors.
Drive sustainable business growth through innovative product development, targeted sales strategies, and the acquisition and retention of key clients.
Build and strengthen relationships with insurers, vendors, and corporate partners to support business expansion and service excellence.
Oversee and analyse financial, operational, and performance reporting; prepare and present strategic updates to the Board and Executive Leadership.
Implement and maintain effective systems, processes, and standards that enhance operational efficiency and client experience.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements while embedding sound risk management and governance frameworks.
Develop and manage annual budgets, KPIs, and performance targets to achieve operational and strategic objectives.
Lead, mentor, and develop staff to foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Partner with the Marketing function to design and execute initiatives that enhance brand visibility, drive client engagement, and support growth.
Oversee the development and maintenance of the Business Continuity Plan, Service Level Agreements, and operational policies.
Continuously identify and implement process and technological improvements that position CIB as a leader in service delivery and efficiency.
Represent CIB at industry events, regulatory forums, and professional associations, strengthening the company’s presence and reputation.
Minimum 7 years’ senior management experience within the insurance industry (life, health, and general).
Barbados Diploma in Insurance or equivalent professional qualification (UK/USA).
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Management, or a related discipline.
Demonstrated success leading a brokerage or financial services operation with measurable results in growth and performance.
