General Accountant

 Primarily responsible for the posting of source entries to the ERP application.  Analyzing the P&L and balance sheet accounts.  Reconciliation of intercompany accounts.  Preparation and posting of journals as required

General Duties and Responsibilities

• Primarily responsible for the posting of source entries to the ERP application.
• Analyzing the P&L and balance sheet accounts.
• Reconciliation of intercompany accounts.
• Preparation and posting of journals as required.
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly management reports.
• Monthly sub-ledger and general ledger reconciliations.

  Education, Experience, and Other Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting, ACCA level 2, or equivalent accounting designation.
• Excellent computer skills; experience in accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite, and a high level of comfort with Microsoft Excel required.
• Knowledge of accounting best practices, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and general accounting concepts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, accurate and precise attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently while maintaining the confidentiality of information and local ethics.
• Excellent and flexible team player.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar position.
• Experience with sub-ledger posting for accounts payable and accounts receivable will be an asset.
