Garde Manger

We are seeking a skilled Garde Manger (Pantry Cook) to join our kitchen team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing cold dishes, salads, appetizers, and pantry items while maintaining high standards of food safety, quality, and presentation.

 


 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

 

  • Prepare salads, dressings, cold appetizers, and platters

  • Maintain proper food storage, labeling, and stock rotation (FIFO)

  • Ensure consistency in food quality and presentation

  • Set up and maintain cold station and buffet displays

  • Monitor freshness and quality of ingredients

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area

  • Follow food safety and sanitation standards (HACCP)

  • Support kitchen team during peak service

 

 


 

 

Requirements

 

 

  • 2–3 years experience in a similar role

  • Culinary certification (HEART/NSTA or equivalent)

  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices

  • Experience in Jamaican and international cuisine is an asset

  • Strong attention to detail and presentation

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

 

 


 

 

Additional Requirements

 

 

  • Valid Food Handler’s Permit

  • Flexible schedule (including weekends and holidays)

  • Reliable and professional
