JOB DESCRIPTION

GROUP HUMAN RESOURCE & ADMINISTRATION MANAGER


Reports to      :           General Manager, Group Human Resource, Training & Administration

Supervises      :           Human Resource & Ancillary staff

 

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  •  Supervision of Departmental Staff
  • Develops the HR Policies and Strategies and contributes to the  Group's long term Strategic Goals
  • Collaborates with all departments in the preparation of the annual HR departments operating plan and Budget aligned to the company’s Strategic Plan
  • Assists in organization development and advise management on HR related issues affecting same
  • Identifies Human Resource policy deficiencies and aid in drafting and reviewing policy under the direction of the General Manager
  • Manages the HR budget and the administration of employee compensation and benefits
  • Develops, implements and manages the performance management and appraisal system throughout the company and ensure continuous evaluation of performance against objectives
  • Ensures that the Group is properly resourced with the optimal level, mission oriented human capital required to achieve its objectives
  • Manages the implementation and administration of policies and procedures
  • Maintenance of all HSE related Documentation
  • Ensure HSE Policies and Procedures are adhered to
  • Maintain PPE procurement logs and records 
  •  PPE Evaluation and acquisition and cost reduction.
  • Manages the day to day operations of the Human Resource function 
  • Submits monthly reports to the General Manager. Conduct quarterly reviews of HR plan and submit quarterly reports to General Manager
  • Handling of Industrial Relations/Labour Matters
  • Acts as conciliator and mediator in employee work related disputes and grievances
  • Coordinate all Cleaning and Janitorial Services 
  • Oversee the acquisition of Group toiletries and other janitorial items
  •  

Minimum Requirements

  • First Degree in HR Management or Management studies with concentration in HR
  • Masters would be an asset
  • Minimum Four to Five (5-6) years Human Resource Management.
  • Knowledge of ISO Management Systems would be an asset
  • In-depth knowledge of labour laws and Industrial Relations
  • Any equivalent combination of qualifications and experience
  • Experience in Microsoft Dynamics
