Upon opening its doors to the public on July 03, 2015, it has transformed the retail and entertainment experience of Guyanese and tourists alike with over a hundred options in shopping, dining, services and entertainment combined.

Overall Responsibilities: 

The role of the Graphic Artist involves managing more than one design briefly at a time and allotting relevant amount of time according to the value of the job and deadlines.

The position shall cover the following areas:

The Graphic Artist is also responsible for creating and executing concepts and designs consistent with the goals and objectives outlined. The incumbent must have a strong ability to create images that can influence retail consumers.

Responsibilities (include but not limited to):

1. Responsible for the design, lay-out, artwork and formatting of materials in accordance with the instructions given.
2. Responsible for the development of images and concepts for a variety of creative projects primarily focused on the Retail/Consumer Experience.
3. Prepare, mark ups and assemble final lay-outs.
4. Travel to store locations as needed for collaboration with store operations and ongoing projects.
5. Perform other duties as assigned.

Reporting Responsibilities:  Reports to the Marketing Manager

Job Requirements/Specifications

Education:  

• At least five (5) subjects CXC, inclusive of Grade one (1) or two (2) in Mathematics and English.
• Certification in Adobe, Coral Draw, Photoshop, graphic design or a related field.

Experience:   At least three (3) year experience in a similar position.

Essential Skills: 

• Knowledge of design software such as Adobe Photoshop or Corel Draw
• Can work with minimal supervision

• Free hand drawing, painting, printing and photography skills is a plus
• An eye for photo enhancements/manipulations

Job Conditions

Will be spending 99% of time in Giftland unless required to travel for special projects.

Salaries and Benefits

Salaries and Benefits are based on Giftland existing salary scheme, and benefits are in accordance with the laws of Guyana and the policies of Giftland. These are all provided for in the Contract of employment.
