About the Opportunity:
Geejam Hotel & Villa is seeking a visionary General Manager with a strong Food & Beverage (F&B) foundation, someone who is operationally hands-on, creatively driven, and ready to lead a luxury resort through its next chapter of growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Hotel & Villa Operations & Guest Experience
Oversee all Hotel & Villa operations: Guest Services, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Reservations, Inventory, and F&B.
Maintain luxury standards while delivering personalized, memorable experiences for a global clientele.
Lead a staff of 80, ensuring efficient operations, training, morale, and service excellence.
Strategically manage budgets, forecasting, and cost controls across departments.
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and labor regulations.
Food & Beverage Leadership
Drive F&B operations at the Bushbar, Villas and the Geejam Beach Restaurant & Bar.
Plan and execute all culinary experiences, weddings, and special events.
Oversee menu development, staffing, food quality, vendor sourcing, and F&B budgeting.
Management & Strategy
Collaborate with ownership and marketing on branding, promotions, and event planning.
Establish and enforce SOPs, service standards, and KPIs across departments.
Engage with guests, resolve high-level concerns, and handle VIP relations personally.
What We're Looking For:
Degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Business Administration, or equivalent extensive industry experience.
Minimum 5 years of senior Food & Beverage management experience.
Proven track record in hotel operations management, ideally in a boutique or luxury property.
Financial acumen with experience managing hotel and F&B budgets.
Knowledge of Jamaica’s labor laws and hospitality standards.
Exceptional leadership and team-building skills with a proactive, positive attitude.
Experience with hotel systems (PMS, POS, inventory) and modern HR best practices.
Strong interpersonal skills with an outgoing and professional demeanor.
Special Requirements:
Must hold a current Food Handler’s Permit.
Ability to work six days per week with flexibility, including long hours and 24-hour on-call availability when needed.
