Gaming Supervisor

 Job Summary

Responsible for monitoring all activity on the floor at a gaming establishment. Supervising patrons, handling complaints, attending to machines, and ensuring quality customer care.

Job Responsibilities

  • Supervise gaming staff
  • Assign duties, provide training, coaching, and ensure that all employees are performing their responsibilities effectively.
  • Enforce regulations: Ensure compliance with gaming regulations, company policies, and procedures. Monitor gaming activities to prevent fraud, cheating, and any other illegal activities.
  • Customer service: Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries, resolving disputes, and ensuring a positive gaming experience for all patrons. Handle any customer complaints or issues promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain gaming equipment: Oversee the maintenance and repair of gaming equipment, such as slot machines and electronic gaming devices. 
  • Monitor gaming operations: Ensure that house rules are followed, and establishment is following the BGLC regulations. Conduct regular inspections of gaming areas to ensure that all games are conducted fairly, and all equipment is functioning correctly.
  • Monitor all staff to ensure adherence to procedures and rules.
  • Cash handling: Oversee cash handling procedures, including verifying cash drops where necessary, monitoring cash transactions, and ensuring accurate payouts to customers. Monitor financial transactions to prevent theft or fraud. Oversee and verify all daily float submission and sign off on all cash given to cashiers. 
  • Responsible for issuing all ATF(addition to float) to cashiers. Oversee and verify all cash, credit cards, cheques, credit advances, promissory notes and reconciling all reports at the end of business day. Ensure all sales are secured in its designated area in the safe in the back office.
  • Training and development: Facilitate ongoing training to gaming staff with the Human Resource and Compliance department to ensure they have a thorough understanding of gaming regulations, procedures, and customer service standards. 
  • Conduct performance evaluations and offer constructive feedback to employees.
  • Reporting and documentation: Maintain accurate records of gaming activities, including financial transactions, customer complaints, and incidents. Compile and record reports on daily floor operations. Submit daily Management reports.
  • Safety and security: Ensure the safety and security of all employees and patrons.  Respond to emergencies or incidents promptly and effectively.
  • Stay updated: Keep up-to-date with gaming industry trends, regulations, and best practices. Attend relevant AML training sessions and seminars to enhance knowledge and skills.
  • Explain house rules, such as game rules and betting limits. Monitor customers for signs of compulsive gambling, and offer assistance.
  • Codes and Gaming: Report all gaming license renewal to the Operations office so they can be processed in a timely manner.
  • Report all suspicious activities directly to the Compliance department.

  • Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure and make quick decisions.

      Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree and or Tertiary level Education.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role in the gaming industry preferred.
  • Knowledge of gaming regulations and procedures would be an asset.
  • Excellent math skills and ability to handle financial transactions accurately.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
CASHIER JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • At least one (1) to two (2) year(s) experience.
  • Relevant academic qualification commensurate with the role being applied for.
  • Excellent numerical skills

  • Strong inter-personal skills
  • Detail oriented.
