The role of our Front Office Manager

The Front of House Manager functions as the strategic, hands-on operations leader of Silversands Origin, for the Front of House Department. Supervises, trains, schedules, inspects, and evaluates the work and performance of Front Office Team, Concierge and Transportation, ensuring that all procedures are performed to the hotel’s standards.

Position oversees the development and implementation of departmental strategies and ensures implementation of Silversands service strategy, training culture, service standards and expectations. Position ensures LQA, AAA and other service indicator scores are kept at the necessary levels. Position is expected to be visible in the operations on a daily basis providing direction and monitoring the “guest experience”. Schedule will include days, nights, holidays, and weekends to provide coverage as necessary for most effective operation.

Key Qualifications and Experience

  • 2 to 3 years of related experience.
  • College degree or above.
  • Ability to lead, motivate and develop a team of individuals.             
  • Detailed knowledge of working practices of Front Office, Concierge, Transportation and Guest services.                   
  • Working knowledge POS, OPERA, etc.Operating knowledge and application of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
  • Must be able to successfully prioritize and complete tasks through team members in prescribed timeframe and manage workflow.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Knowledge of equipment used in public spaces and rooms to increase efficiency
