Forklift Operator / Warehouse Assistant

Our client, SCL (Jamaica) Ltd, is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Forklift Operator / Warehouse Assistant to support its warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe handling, movement, and storage of goods, while maintaining high standards of efficiency, accuracy, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a forklift to load, unload, and transport goods within the warehouse
• Receive, inspect, and store incoming stock in designated locations
• Pick, pack, and prepare orders accurately for delivery
• Stack and organize products in accordance with company safety standards
• Identify and report damaged goods or discrepancies to the Supervisor
• Conduct routine forklift inspections and report maintenance needs
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly warehouse environment
• Provide support to walk-in customers and ensure excellent customer service at all times

Qualifications and Requirements

• High School Certificate with at least three (3) CXC/CSEC subjects
• Certified Forklift Operator (or willingness to be trained)
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry between 50–100 pounds
• Physically fit and able to squat, stoop, and stand for extended periods
• Basic knowledge of warehouse operations and procedures
• Clean police record and safe accident history
