Forklift Operator

Forklift Operator.

To load and unload Trucks in a safe and timely manner. Move, load and unload products and materials in a safe manner according to the needs of the operation while treating customers in a professional manner.  To support the achievement of departmental goals such as department and business KPIs related to the department, GMP and safety objectives.

• Moves product from production lines receiving areas or imported products from containers or receiving areas to storage areas.
• Moves product from the Warehouse storing areas to the Warehouse staging areas.
• Loads and unloads trucks, other delivery and service vehicles accurately according to load plans and/or instructions from the Warehouse Supervisor or Manager.
• Opens and closes truck or delivery vehicle doors as necessary to load or unload products.
• Cleans the truck loading bays as necessary to load or unload the products.
• Places unloaded products in an orderly fashion in the designated areas.
• Moves finished goods accurately throughout the warehouse to the designated areas.
• Ensures proper stock rotation according to FIFO or LIFO policies.
• Keeps products and materials organized, separated and identified in designated areas.
• Counts stock and materials in the storing and staging areas.
• Records information related to the sorting, counting and movement of the products and materials.
• Records the exact product quantities using the company systems and other manual records required.
• Reports any stock inaccuracies or differences to Warehouse Supervisors, Senior Dispatch Operators or Managers.
• Drives in a safe and responsible manner for the safety and security of persons, products, assets and materials while operating the forklift.
• Inspects equipment related to the job daily and reports any issues to supervisors and managers to ensure safe operating and optimal performance.
• Reports any unusual situations or conditions found within any trucks to Supervisors.
• ·Provides excellent customer service with a positive attitude to all persons.

REQUIREMENTS:

Valid Forklift License.

Must be able to work on a 3 shift system 6am to 2pm, 2pm to 10pm & 10pm to 6am.

At least 3 CXC passes.

At least 1 year experience operating a Forklift in a Warehouse or manufacturing environment.
